South Korean mills have bought Russian scrap this week, while two of them are expected to open tenders for Japanese scrap tomorrow.
Scrap prices in the Chinese domestic market have indicated rises in some regions after the long holiday, though remaining stable in other regions.
Domestic and export scrap prices in Japan are moving up following the Chinese New Year holiday which ended at the beginning of this week.
Since SteelOrbis’ report published yesterday, February 8, some Turkish mills have announced further rises in their ship scrap procurement price.
Ex-China CRC prices have moved up sharply after the week-long holiday amid the rising trends in the local market and in HRC futures prices.
